Find out More About St. Lucia Weddings

We know there are lots of questions when it comes to planning your wedding from arriving at our resort to having an Officiate so you actually say “I do.” We invite you to take a read through our frequently asked questions, and of course, we are always happy to answer your questions if you require further information.

Are there transportation options for getting my guests and I from the airport to the resort?
Yes, we offer taxi services at the resort and transportation arrangements can be made for your group.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests that can attend my wedding?
There is no minimum, but we do have a maximum of 150 guests for weddings.

Can I bring my own photographer?
Absolutely, you can bring in your own photographer if you prefer.

What if it rains on my wedding day?
The wedding can take place at the pool or in the restaurant depending on numbers, or beneath a tent on the resort grounds. The important thing is that you don’t have to worry about these details—your wedding coordinator will take care of it for you!

Does the resort provide an Officiate for the ceremony?
Yes we do, it is an included service in all of our wedding packages.

What are the legal requirements when getting married in St. Lucia?
In order to tie the knot in St. Lucia, copies of the following documents are required:
• Decree Absolute (if either party is divorced)
• Death Certificate (if either party is widowed)
• Deed Poll Certificate (if your name has been changed)
• Passports (valid for a minimum of six months from your travel date)
Please note that certified translations of all documents not in English are required.

How far in advance should I be planning my wedding?
We suggest planning 12 months in advance for larger, elaborate weddings. However, we have also celebrated weddings in as little as three days’ notice. Our planners are versatile and are able to help with wedding ceremonies in a variety of time frames.

How should I travel on a plane with my wedding dress?
Carefully fold your dress in its garment bag and carry on to the plane in the event your luggage’s arrival is delayed. If possible, we would advise bringing a small hand held steamer.

What is the payment schedule like?
We required a 50% deposit to secure your wedding date, with the remaining balance due upon departure.

Is the property wheelchair accessible and fit for those with unique individual needs?
The owners of Fond Doux live on the property and have made it their primary goal to ensure that every need is met for each guest (within reason). If you have a specific concern or request, we invite you to contact us.
